Suppression

Do not contact

Draft — the mechanism has to work before this page is published.Promising removal and then not delivering it is worse than saying nothing at all, so this page stays down until the route below is live and somebody is watching it.

Who this is for

Anyone who wants out. A business owner who is tired of the calls, somebody acting for the business, or a person who simply would rather not be in a file. You do not have to prove you are in our data before you can ask to be taken out of it — that would be a silly thing to make anybody do, and we would rather suppress a record that was never there.

What a removal does

The identifiers you give us — the company, the number, the email, whichever you have — go onto one internal stop list. Every build we cut runs through that list before it leaves, across every product rather than the one the call came from. From that point the record does not appear in a file again.

What it cannot do

It cannot reach back into a file somebody already bought. Once a delivery is in a buyer’s system it is on their side of the line, which is why buyers are required to honour a stop request that reaches them directly. Nor does it stop calls from anybody who got the details somewhere other than here; there is more than one source of business data in the world and a stop list only governs the data it belongs to.

Asking for it

To be published: a monitored mailbox and a short form, with the response time we intend to hold ourselves to printed next to them. Neither goes on this page until both are working.

A request made anywhere counts everywhere

If somebody says stop on a call, in a reply to a message, or to a rep who bought a file from us, it lands on the same stop list as a request made through this page. There is one list. It does not matter which door the request came through.
